Social Media Content Writer

Part time, approximately 15-20 hours per week.  Inwood, WV or NYC office or remotely

We are looking for a talented, social media savvy writer to create content before the East Coast wakes up.

We want someone who loves books and reading the newspaper… Wake up at 4am, scan the newspapers, determine what the hot stories of the day will be. Then, create 3-4 amazing tweets (practice your headline writing) 2-3 tightly written facebook posts. Once you are done, link each post with a collection of relevant books by ISBN, UPC or ASIN.

You’ll be helping libraries across the country to be more relevant, by increasing their social presence.

Go have some breakfast, get some coffee… then come back and surf the best seller’s lists to find interesting quotes, dates and ideas about books. Create some more tweets and facebook post about those.

The future for this project is bright and may include writing longer pieces daily to be featured on library homepages, blogs and OPACs.
